Troubleshooting common issues
Copy button not working, diagrams not scrolling, sign-in problems — quick fixes.
"The Copy button doesn't seem to work"
Modern browsers require a real user tap for clipboard access. Things to check:
- Tap the button directly (don't long-press, that opens the context menu).
- Private/Incognito windows often block clipboard access — switch to a regular window.
- On older Safari (≤ 15), the rich-text path can fall back to plain text. Update iOS/Safari.
- If all else fails, long-press the note to select, then tap Copy manually.
"I can't scroll my diagram on iPhone"
The drawing tools (X, O, Pen) capture vertical drags so they don't accidentally scroll while you mark. Tap the Move/Resize tool first — it allows the page to scroll normally. Quick taps with X/O still drop a marker without scrolling.
"I can't sign in"
- Use Forgot Password to reset.
- Confirm you're using the same email you signed up with (check your password manager).
- Still stuck? Email support@bentoboxnotes.rocks with your email and we'll look up the account.
"The note generated something wrong"
The generated note is fully editable — tap inside and just type. For a clean restart, tap Reset Note at the bottom of the Copy tab.
"Eli didn't hear me"
- Check microphone permission for bentoboxnotes.rocks in your browser settings.
- Try a wired or Bluetooth headset — built-in laptop mics can pick up too much room noise.
- Speak in 30–60 second bursts; very long single recordings sometimes time out.
"A feature isn't working as expected"
Email support@bentoboxnotes.rocks with:
- A screenshot of what you saw
- Browser + device (e.g. "Safari 17 on iPhone 15 Pro")
- The general workflow ("tapped Eli, recorded, got an empty note")
